Comments, compliments, ideas and complaints

We are here to learn, and one way we learn is to listen.

We welcome comments and compliments, and are particularly keen to listen if you have a concern or a complaint. Complaints need to be handled with particular care, and in as confidential a way as possible without risking causing harm to a child.

Please use these guidelines to make your voice heard:

Stage 1: Talk to your child's Key Person, or another member of staff if their Key Person isn't available.

Stage 2: If this doesn’t reach a satisfactory outcome, talk to the Senior Teacher: Pat English at Church Hill and Margaret Rees at Low Hall.

Stage 3: The next step is to write to the Head Teacher, Helen Currie, to explain the situation. We have a  form you can use, or you can write your own letter or email. We will investigate and respond to written complaints within ten working days.

Stage 4: The next stage is a formal meeting with the Head Teacher. You will be invited to bring someone along, and Helen will have someone there too.

Stage 5: If a satisfactory outcome is still not reached, please write to the Chair of Governors, Pauline France, ‘care of’ the school.
